BACKGROUND
Introduction
Have you ever thought of taking your whole life on holiday instead of a few weeks’ holiday in your life every year?
Impossible…? The Nova Lemuria Project makes it feasible, within everyone’s reach.
After four years of extraordinary and pioneering work within a civic organisation, the Nova Lemuria Project now comes to life as a more extensive and distributed model of what has already been successfully tested on a small scale since 2020.
Nova Lemuria envisages the rapid construction of a decentralised Service Platform, pooling key assets and services for up to 5,000 families inspired by the desire to turn their lives into a wonderful ‘’everlasting holiday‘’: spectacular geography, optimal work-life balance, access to all essential services of the highest quality and modest cost, adventure, fun, time to themselves, and great freedom.
Who it is meant for
For some, Nova Lemuria will represent an exciting opportunity to completely break with the patterns of the past and build a new dream life. For others, it will be a gradual process, one service after another, to ‘taste’ more and more of a different way of life from that of the past. For still others, Nova Lemuria could become a set of geographies and events with like-minded people, to have experiences of a life different from the usual routine, whenever one feels like it – like going on holiday. A sort of large and excellent luxury ClubMed ‘70s version (distributed in space and time), elegant, pleasant, refined. Everyone will be free to use the platform’s services as they please, subject to (a few) shared rules.
Where
The majority of the services offered by the platform are conveniently available via home delivery; however, some services and events reserved for subscribers can be enjoyed at carefully selected locations featuring breathtaking landscapes, rich culture, and a strong aesthetic sense. Initial geographical areas have also been identified for subscribers who wish to relocate and begin a new life in harmony with nature while enjoying all the comforts, aiming to restore a more “analogue” lifestyle rather than a digital one. The wonderful island of Sardinia (Italy) also offers immediate significant tax savings thanks to the flat tax for those coming from abroad, as well as for Italians registered with AIRE for at least nine years. Meanwhile, the spectacular Indonesian islands known as “Shambhala” are reserved for those who prefer the tranquility of nature and a more private life. Nova Lemuria takes all preferences into account and allows subscribers to realise their lifestyle wishes to the fullest.
Services offered
Nova Lemuria is an innovative non-profit project that operates as a service platform, providing subscribers with both its own resources and those offered free of charge (with cost reimbursement, of course) for use by selected patrons. This enables the delivery of essential services of high quality at low cost. As a result, it allows for an exceptional improvement in quality of life, the protection of personal assets during times of high inflation and potential economic crises, access to home/private schooling services that are currently unaffordable in terms of quality and educational methodology, and the wonderful prospect of life as an extended family, with services tailored to the needs of the elderly. The platform also offers outstanding job opportunities (doctors, teachers, farmers, etc.—all typical trades of a small community) and an innovative academy for acquiring important knowledge and skills for personal development (e.g., techniques for rapid learning and much more). The Nova Lemuria project stems from the successful experiences of the Civic Association FRI. “As governments provide fewer and fewer economically accessible services that meet citizens’ expectations, Nova Lemuria offers innovative solutions to these shortcomings.”
Structure and Ethics
Participants in the Nova Lemuria Project pay a monthly subscription fee for the Platform, which offers three different options, allowing them to access various services at reduced prices. The Nova Lemuria Foundation guarantees the non-profit nature of the Project, which aims to eliminate excessive profits (of a speculative nature) that are typical of the current model of turbo-financial capitalism. It is a kind of return to the origins, albeit in a modern form, when cooperatives provided their members with high-quality products and services at affordable prices.
